Tonya Ortkiese

Touching Hearts is glad to welcome Tonya Ortkiese to our team as Prayer Ministry Coordinator. Tonya’s tender love for Jesus is undeniable. Through the whispers of her heart, you are quickly drawn into an intimate place with the Lord. Her joy and laughter fill the room as well as her urgency to pray.

Tonya served the Lord for many years through teaching and mentoring young people. As she found herself in a new season of life, she was lost seeking her new place of ministry.  After visiting TH one time in 2012, she knew this was where she wanted to be.  The Lord began to breathe new life into her and prepare her for a new season of serving. Tonya has a servant’s heart always willing to give and serve others.

Tonya has always been a believer in the power of prayer, but a break in relationship with her adult daughter drove her to a deeper level of prayer. Her testimony of believing God for a miracle restoration was a true turning point in her faith.  She is unstoppable in calling others to believe in a God who hears and answers prayer.

She leads the ministry in early morning prayer times, group prayer, special times of prayer and fasting, and texting emergency prayers. The recent “CORD” groups were started this year with the purpose of growing deeper relationships. I believe the ministry will climb to a new level as we grow in prayer.

Tonya has been married to Steve since Valentine’s Day, 1976 and is the mom of two married children and 5 precious grandchildren.
